NGK Spark Plugs are widely used across all forms of motor sport including Formula 1, Touring Cars, Rally Cars and Motorcycle Racing.
 
The high compression ratios and engine speeds developed in high performance racing engines require spark plugs, which can withstand overheating and mechanical shock. NGK has a range of plug types capable of withstanding these severe conditions, many using precious metals such as platinum or gold/palladium.

	Formula 1 NGK spark plugs fitted in 10 cars belonging to five teams linked to four manufacturers, Honda, Ferrari, McLaren and BMW.
	WRC NGK Spark Plugs have performed outstandingly in WRC to date, contributing to nine drivers' titles and seven manufacturers' titles.
	SUPER GT(Japan) NGK Spark Plugs are in technical collaboration with Honda and Nissan, who compete in the GT500 class. In the GT300 class, too, they provide support for many cars and engines. And of course they carry out technical research, using races to gather various data which can be used to develop their commercially available plugs.
